Mission

The society will provide a platform to improve surgical training by:
  • providing opportunities for both knowledge and technical skills transfer from the vast number of South African surgical experts;
  • providing a voice for the opinions and concerns of all surgical trainees through our representation on the College of Surgeons’ council
    • and at the Association of Surgeons of South Africa (ASSA);
  • by becoming proactive about the changes affecting surgical training and the practice of surgery in South Africa.
