Meet the team
Mohamed Bhamjee
Consultant

My names Mohammed Bhamjee, I am currently serving on the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Witwatersrand. I would describe myself as a dynamic multidimensional surgeon in training, with tireless work ethic. I hold a special interest in surgical education, and its duality and balance with reference to clinical and theoretical acumen. Through my participation with SASSIT I hope to inspire and engineer progressive and forward thinking surgeons from training institutes across Southern Africa with the hope of providing better and more equitable surgical care to all.

When I’m not in theatre, I participate in local outreach programs and engage in research projects.
